Sustainability

Cascade Equinox Festival strives to maintain an unwavering commitment to sustainability, ensuring a clean and eco-friendly environment for all festival-goers. Please help our Green Team, who passionately lead efforts to elevate your festival experience, by engaging in simple yet impactful ways to reduce consumption and waste. Our dedicated team strives to make a positive impact wherever possible. We hope you can do the same to help save our precious planet.

We’re thrilled to partner with Green Disco & Earthwin again to reduce the festival’s carbon footprint. For the third year, we are offering Eco-Bands for $20 as an add on to your ticket, purchased either online or at the box office. Each Eco-Band purchase will roughly preserve 2.4 acres of biodiverse rainforest in Brazil while also planting one (1) tree locally in Oregon near the Willamette National Forest. Fans who contribute will receive an Eco-Band made from 100% hemp to wear onsite and an opportunity to win prizes through Earthwin.Org!

Last year we planted nearly 400 trees and secured over 900 acres of rainforest.  Help us reach our goal of planting an additional 500 trees locally in Oregon and restoring over 1,000 acres of rainforest in Brazil.

IMAGINE WHAT WE CAN DO TOGETHER.

    What’s an Equinox?

Cascade Equinox Festival takes place over the autumnal equinox weekend. There are only two times of the year when the Earth’s axis is tilted neither toward nor away from the sun, resulting in a “nearly” equal amount of daylight and darkness at all latitudes. These events are referred to as Equinoxes. The word equinox is derived from two Latin words – aequus (equal) and nox (night).
